Loopamp™ SARS-CoV-2 Detection Kit

The kit is an unique method of gene amplification that amplifies nucleic acid with high specificity, efficiency, and rapidity under isothermal condition. An one-step, single tube, reverse transcription loop-mediated isothermal amplification (RT-LAMP) assay was developed for detecting SARS-CoV-2.

Characteristics of Loopamp™ SARS-CoV-2 Detection Kit

  1. Fast and simple: Extraction in 5 min and amplification in 35 min under isothermal condition at 62.5°C .
  2. Robust design: Simple instruments: Incubator or Thermal Cycler
  3. Easy operation: Dried amplification reagent and primer mix are ready to use
  4. Visual detection: No need for expensive and high complex equipment
  5. Experience:  Since its launch under the Japanese IVD regulation on April 9, 2020, it has been enhancing the quality of products, services and support.

Necessary equipment and labware

  1. Incubator, Thermal Cycler (Temperature accuracy ±0.5°C)
  2. Sterile cotton swab for collecting a sample
  3. Micro pipettes and filter tip (Primer mix: 15uL / Sample: 10uL)
  4. Aluminum rack for cooling and ice box (1.5 mL tube / 0.2 mL tube)
  5. Micro simple centrifuge (1.5 mL tube)
  6. Simple centrifuge for 8 micro tubes (0.2 mL tube)

Loopamp™ SARS-CoV-2 Detection Kit was validated to be used with the following Real-Time PCR instruments.

  • - Applied Biosystem® 7500 Real-Time PCR System (software version 2.3)
  • - Roche® LightCycler 480 II (software version 1.5)
  • - Bio-Rad CFX Maestro (software version 1.1)

Other instruments with temperature accuracy  ±0.5°C are applicable to Loopamp™ SARS-CoV-2 Detection Kit.
